He is leaving in a nightmare cause his last case is about a serial killer who prey on young, blond and gay victim. Shayla divides her time between her mother, her spoiled rotten cats and dogs, her evil day job and her obsession—writing. This story left a lump in my throat and teaches a valuable lesson habd love.
And this is maybe the strong side of the novel: It made for a nice dy It was a very nice read. Another goodie in the Tennessee Cops series, this one didn’t start off very strong for me, but really finished with a bang and Helpiny ended up giving it 4 stars. Previous Entry Next Entry.
Other books in the series. There’s the right amount of fear, suspense, danger, etc. Want to Read Currently Reading Read. That’s about it and then the HEA. Yes, kfrsten were a few hot, very well-described sex scenes, but there was a lot of emotional build-up that I actually believed in, the mystery thread was thoroughly explored, and it was a well-rounded story.
A couple others like that. But to have one, he has to stay alive. He was actually too good to be true in that book. For the first time, I actually wanted to skip reading this book or just skip this author all together.
Memphis homicide detective Tony Costa is openly hetero to his co-workers, but his detective partner Jeff has already figured out that something is going on with Tony and Ryan and he doesn’t care about it, but there is lots of small minded people on the force who won’t be as enlightened as Jeff.
Rich keeps his job in law enforcement separate from his life as a closeted gay man. I didn’t really need to see every graphic detail of Rich’s one sexual interaction with his fuck-buddy, Jeremy. These were two MC’s that I never could manage to give a damn about as neither were very likable or sympathetic. And the twisted scenario and identity of the attacker s seemed a bit a stretched, especially when they were introduced just minutes before it was confirmed they were the culprits.
The story is not very long, pages, but it’s very well plotted: The feelings of excitement and love of the characters did come alive because of the way the author wrote these scenes. Jan 13, Gbook rated it it was ok.

In Dustin’s case it only took less then two years to being totally helpless and homeless. Maybe the sex is a bit too easy, and truth be yelping, I don’t like very much the attitude of Dan who despises the behavior of his last girlfriend Sharon, but still he remembers with pleasure her bed skills, and of Rich, who thinks to be in love with Dan, but still turns to Jeremy for comfort sex.
Ha had married the woman to prove his father he wasnt gay. Nevertheless, I liked Jeremy and found myself looking forward to Tony popping up here and there as they figure out who is trying to kill David. At the same time we see Tony and Jeff going to interview David’s ex-wife and ask her about the domestic calls.
She acknowledges that even with a confession, view spoiler [the guy could still plead not guilty if his lawyer thought the interview had some impropriety hide spoiler ]. Want to Read saving….
A Helping Hand
Too much sex, too much anger, not enough trust. Tennessee Cops 4 books. Dan has been searching for ‘the one’ for years without luck.
There’s a pretty good balance of action and romance here, with both elements relatively well developed and written in a relatively sensible manner. Both are necessary to make the book. He tells Ryan that when he had said he loved him he had meant it and Ryan replies that it had been the same for him.
Ryan knows that Tony is angry and worried, but this is his job, they need to catch the killer before he kills again. Overall I found both of them to be superficial characters.
