I listened to this as an audiobook with the most top notch narration I’ve ever heard. Sure, Daniel knew her from many lives, but Lucy had no memory of that so technically she barely knew him.

Do you believe in this idea, which some call karma, that our actions will come back to us? Let them go when you must. A story like this wouldn’t be complete without a villain, and we have Daniel’s brother in one of his lives take that role, due to a shared history in which Daniel’s brother came off as the loser. I think he likes to make life difficult and depressing.
I loved the characters and the build up to the end, which isn’t neatly wrapped. Made me feel, see and hear everything that was going on inside and outside the characters and this world and made it all very relatable. brasharees

Towards the end, I felt Daniel’s lives were all a blur of memoryy, he felt soul-weary and I can’t think of things he enjoyed in life apart from thinking about Sophie and pining for her. Please make a sequel to it. I understand that this is the first book in a trilogy, and sure, the battle is far from over.

This book is anb those that believe! That night when they kiss, Lucy is frightened both by the brasharrs that come to her mind and by Daniel’s insistence in calling her Sophia. How does this change for him over the course of the book? Should You Ask Me is a captivating story about people at their worst and best: The early lives blur a bit. Daniel who is able to remember those lives and continually fights to find Lucy and Lucy who continually forgets with each rebirth.
The idiot went back in of her own volition. A frightening familiarity hit as I read from page to page, and I annn Obviously, I cannot compare Brashares’ and Niffenegger’s writing styles and comprehend what compels people to make the comparison.
Characters, in effect, come across as blank, uninteresting, and present very little to no variety in terms of personality and development. The story of Daniel is one that is both fascinating and unnerving.
I was pleasantly surprised. Credit definitely goes to author, Ann Brashares. This one may get made into a movie as well. He kissed her with everything, because loving a person was all you could do. Say it with me: You are my first memory every time, the single thread in all of my lives.

Yeah, I think she pulled it off. Her dress even rips because she’s struggling to get away from him.
He remembers her; she doesn’t. Looks like there shall be no closure for us With Lucy not being aware of her past lives, it read very much so far like she ‘belonged’ to Daniel without her consent.
Had this been a first book in a series, this is what would have been called a cliffhanger, which would have been no big deal because there would have been a book 2 to look forward to. View all 7 comments.
