A standard 4-wire SPI serial interface allows a host microcontroller to read bit absolute angle position data from the ASP and to program non-volatile settings without a dedicated programmer.
The resolution of the ABI signal is programmable and can be reduced to steps per revolution, or 25 pulses per revolution. Based on an integrated Hall element array the angular position of a simple two-pole magnet is translated into analog output voltages.
