Even Vayl’s past that comes to light wasn’t jennkfer interesting. Yes, it’s yet another urban fantasy about a butt-kicking chick and her vampire boyfriend. Kyphas indeed has a hidden agenda and she’ll do anything to have Cole.
Like the ln of the series, this book is filled with smart, quick wit, intense fight scenes and enough love and action to keep you glued to the pages. The team is aware that Kyphas will betray them and sets Astral on spy duty. It was quite comical, but frustrating as well, since Jaz was frustrated.

There is a hilarious scene when Jaz takes you back a few days to when they all find ragdin that Vayl believes Bergman is his young ward from the past, Helena. Then again, Jaz has a bunch of voices in eardin mind: There were touching moments when Lord Brancoveanu sees a photo of Jaz and falls in love with her. Unfortunately something has happened to Vayl and he now believes that he is living in the year something; as a result he doesn’t recognize any of his crew for who they really are and thinks they are actually people from his past. Jenniefr is the technical genius who creates the coolest gadgets. Throw in frequent flashbacks and I’m at a bit of a loss. The combination of the two worlds, reality and fantasy, makes the genre my favourite and one in bittem I’ll never tire of writing.
Just like Jaz, it gave me hope that Vayl would return soon. I like how the book titles resemble songs titles.
