Want to Read saving…. This multinational start a huge plant in India, overestimating the Indian market. Sometimes I found it a bit unbelievable that people could remember such tiny details, but being pulled by the story I was able to suspend disbelief.

As per the topic is concerned, lots medianoch it is shrouded in mystery.

Era medianoche en Bhopal by Dominique Lapierre. I felt a little put off by the fact that every character had to be introduced with his or her religion, but I can also understand the importance of religious diversity in India so I could kind of understand this.

I knew very little about the Bhopal disaster, and probably would never have chosen to read this book myself, but was given it to read as part of the book group I belonged to a few years back. What was the reaction of the powers that be and how was this piece of research received in official circle? They soon incur huge losses. I will not go in the details of the disaster as I am afraid that I won’t be able to do justice with my words.

Somehow, I have never read enough about this disaster. This book, while covering the facts, follows the proceedings through those affected, from the woman who was saved because mevianoche was getting married, and her red sari caught the rescuer’s eyes in a pile of medianiche, to those who had to remove the bodies.

He has done a fantastic job by weaving this dreadful tragedy around real people and how they went about their lives with trials and tribulations. Hypocrisy is mutual and shame should be shared. It was well-written and factual, mesianoche enough of the science and engineering explanation that Medianochhe hoped for, and not an excess of over-sentimentality regarding to the human tragedy.

I thought Katherine Boo’s “Beyond the Beautiful Forevers” did a better job of exemplifying this style. It is a book which everybody in India should read, because we clearly have learnt no lessons whatsoever from that night 31 years ago.

The latter half of the book dragged being, as it was, about the legacy of the disaster and the fight to make Union Carbide accept proper responsibility but the first half was one of the most powerful non-fiction books I read that year.
