Zemansky’s book follows the physics point of view, and is a masterpiece. The karatheodory’ approach was discussed in detail in the 5th edition, but these details are omitted in 8th edition. In fact 5th edition was much better in many ways. Anyways, I strongly zemansoy this book for every physics student.
